Progress in Oceanography - Elsevier Special Issue
Pelagic-Benthic Coupling in the Oligotrophic Cretan Sea (CINCS)
Guest Editors
This special issue of Progress in Oceanography is a tribute to the high quality of research undertaken in the Eastern Aegean by all the CINCS partners. CINCS was part of the MAST Mediterranean Targeted Project, hailed as one of the successes of multi-disciplinary transnational co-operative research. Researchers from IMBC and NCMR Athens played a major part in the present publication, being responsible for more than half of the Special Issue's sixteen papers, to which all CINCS partners contributed, the Italian partner with a handsome contribution of four. Sterling work was carried out by the IMBC Oceanography Head A.Tselepides, ably supported by all his team. The CINCS Case Study has been available to IMBC website browsers since June 1997. A full description is available online. |
