SECCHISCHEIBE Eine runde Scheibe (20 cm Durchmesser), deren Oberfläche in 4 gleiche Quadranten eingeteilt ist, welche abwechselnd weiß und schwarz gestrichen sind. Sie wird dazu benutzt, um die Transparenz des Wassers zu messen oder um zu untersuchen, wie weit das Licht ins Wasser eindringt. Die Scheibe wird an einer kalibrierten Leine herabgelassen, bis sie nicht mhr zu sehen ist.
