Tasks
- The Marine Dynamics and Numerical Simulations team has analysed and validated
model results with in situ data to determine the optimal parameter set
for the ecosystem model in the Cretan Sea.
- Further to the above the 1-D ERSEM/POM model is applied at the same
location with the M3A buoy
using the optimal parameterisation.
Hindcast experiments have been performed using the biogeochemical data
from the buoy and concurrent high frequency meteorological forcing.
- In addition, the 3-D model has been applied in the North Cretan Sea.
Some of the results, in respect of chlorophyll concentrations, can be
seen as a 2-D representation of the 3-D model.
