Abstract
Interannual and interdecadal variability of discharges
of four Black Sea rivers in 1921 to 1992 is examined.
It is shown that a typical magnitude of lowfrequency
fluctuations of these discharges is the same as a typical
amplitude of the seasonal cycle. They are mainly due
to natural changes in the coupled oceanatmosphere system.
Predictability of the interannual and interdecadal
fluctuations of the river discharges associated with
sea surface temperature and atmosphere circulation
anomalies in the North/Tropical Atlantic is discussed.
