ABSTRACT
Tsimenides, N., Machias, A. and Kallianiotis, A., 1992.
Distribution patterns of triglids (Pisces: Triglidae)
on the Cretan shelf (Greece), and their interspecific
associations. Fish. Res., 15: 83-103.
Data from research bottom-trawl surveys of the Cretan
shelf in the period 1988-1990 were analyzed to present
seasonal depth distribution patterns and associated
temperature and salinity conditions for gurnards (triglids).
In addition, interspecific associations of gurnards
with 39 common fishes found seasonally, and clustering
of triglids over the surveyed area were determined
to reveal possible interrelationships.
