These versatile enclosures protect users where outside ventilation cannot be accomplished—in shared-use laboratories and for multiroom applications. Use fume-type filtration or combination filtration to provide safe air for the user. Enclosures recirculate air into the room after removing organic solvents, acid gas, formaldehyde, sulfur compounds, or ammonia fumes. In addition to fumes, units also remove particulates from the air before recirculating. A refined filter monitoring system and sensor detects fumes that are not captured by the filter, further extending the safe-air capabilities of these enclosures. Epoxycoated aluminum surfaces and tempered safety glass provide chemical resistance superior to most competitive systems. Angled sash offers ergonomic viewing while standing or
sitting. Optional rear tempered glass wall and baffle provide easy viewing from 360°, which makes these enclosures ideal for educational laboratories.
Integrated digital display and touch-pad controls provide easy operation, airflow monitoring, and filter status. LED display provides additional information on the filter status, as well as the life spans for previous three filters to help predict filter life. Audible alarm and red LED alert you to check filter for expiration and when the blower has run for a preset period of time. Alarm and LED lights signal any vapor breakthrough in excess of the 50 ppm threshold limit.
Select filters targeting specific chemical types from the table below right. HEPA filtration can be added for cleanroom applications where ISO Class 5 (formerly Class 100) conditions must be maintained. Stack two filters for additional fume and particulate removal. Maximize versatility with a mobile stand and improve chemical spill resistance with epoxy work surfaces.
Enclosures feature a nonsparking, energy-efficient motor that uses less energy and runs quieter than comparable units. Blower provides airflow at 100 ft/min when sash is set at 10¾"H (27.3 cm H); 80 ft/min when sash is 12¾"H (32.4 cm H).
