    The hypo-osmolar buffer 36205-60 is for electroporation, and increases transfection efficiency, particularly for mammalian cells. It allows the electrode formation of the cells and, as a result, easier membrane penetration. The sodium-free buffer system is adapted to the inner cell environment and stabilizes the Na+/K+ gradient across the cell membrane, so even highly sophisticated transfection experiments are possible. The iso-osmolar buffer 36205-62 is for electrofusion of animal cells. The buffer optimizes your cell fusion parameters by only requiring a few cells in your chamber.
