Use these portable, lightweight cell density meters to measure the growth rates of E. coli, yeast cells and other biological agents in suspension at the 600 nm wavelength of light. Photometers measure % transmission (% T) and logarithmic transmission absorption (Abs), plus feature an intervalometer for time-lapse recording.
The 600 nm LED light focuses on the sample through fiber optic cables to obtain the readings quickly—no warm up time required. A simple touch panel provides eight separate functions and is easily wiped down in the event of spills. The fully recharged battery assembly provides 30 hours of operation; recharge time is 12 hours when the instrument is turned off.
You can easily extract data for further analysis then download results directly to a PC via the built-in USB port. For added convenience, purchase the SpectralaxTM data collection software separately (39459-14) to save data in Excel™ format. This easy-to-use software will automatically prompt you through set up and use. Spectralax is Windows® XP/VISTA/ 7 compatible.This cuvette photometer accepts standard 10-mm cuvettes or 14-to 17-mm round tubes.
